2008 Spartan Football Predictions: Wisconsin
SpartyMSU’s Brew Crew assembled to Review and Predict the 2008 Spartan Football Season..
On the discussion board is: Game 10… Wisconsin ... Nov. 1 , 2008, in East Lansing.
We have predicted the Spartans are 8 - 1 headed into the Home game against the Badgers... If they remain healthy.. this is a Wonderful Season for them...
The Badgers are a good team.. Preseason rankings place them anywhere between 9 to 12, depending on the source... Regardless, they are a talented Team.. Much more than Michigan... One of the best in the Big Ten..
Wisconsin has had a lot of guys with injuries recently.. Either healing form surgery or just healing..But from all indications and from their first few practices and scrimmages.. they are back.. This only means one thing.. Wisconsin will be a good team (Barring any addition new or re injuries)…
But Recently TB John Clay is out of Practice due to a Sprained Ankle, he was red shirt last year. DE Moor hurt his ACL again, his first injury was in March practice, and it is strained again..
DT Chapman is recovering from ACL surgery (reported still having problems), DT Newkirk had Shoulder surgery missed Spring practices, DE Shaughnessy had a broken right fibula.. But both should be back…
Back up DT Brandon Hoey has given up football due to back problems and had surgery..
Corner back Allen Langford is recovering from ACL surgery, but looks to be good to go.. Cornerback Aaron Henry had a torn ACL in Practice last December and is working to recover..
What will be next for these guys..
Apart from the injuries.. they seem to have settled on a new QB, Allan Evridge.. 5th year Senior, He’s no rookie… but last year he was only 5 completions for 12 attempts, for a total of 66 yrds… All reports say he is the Man for the Badgers.. guess we’ll have to wait and see.. But, if he can hit receivers he’s got a good crop to choose from, Travis Beckum, in 2007 - 75 catches last year for 982 yrds, that’s 1885 yards 3rd all time at Wisconsin, (But he has complained about tightness in his lower body.. Hope he’s not going down with an injury), Garrett Grahm, 30 catches for 328 last year….
The O”O Line looks to be strong.. should give starter Evridge a chance…
All in All, if they stay healthy, they will be one of the best in the Big Ten.. at least Much Better than Michigan…
And unfortunately, better than our Spartans…
We predict a loss for the Spartans… After this game, MSU will be 8 - 2
MSU 21 – Wisconsin 32
Sparty On !!!!
