The SpartyMSU Brew Crew sat down over the weekend in Rochester Michigan and reviewed the Big Ten Bowl Games…  Andy Pass the Crown.. Gavin and Mike brought the Beer.. Time to get started…
First 2 discussed were The Motor City Bowl.. And The Alamo Bowl….

December 26:  Purdue vs. Central Michigan University….

We all wish the Spartans would have been in the Motor City Bowl.. Would have been nice to head down to Dae-Twaa and hang out at Greektown.. Have a little Flame-in Cheesse … “Oooopaaaa…”.. get a little Sloppy and go see a great Football game.. But Noooooo…  Spartans are headed to Orlando…. Where 4 days later… Meeechigan will get their ass beat by Tim Tebow…

Purdue started the Season 300 -1 to win the BCS.. a little better than the Spartans at 400 – 1… but, not much… Note: Notre Dame was 25 – 1 to win the BCS ( Mandalay Bay.. 6/5/2007)…Man…Were they way wrong… or What… ????

SpartyMSU likes the Chips in this contest… they have played in December they are a little fresher… .. 1 game already in Ford Field… Pumped from being the MAC champs…. They won the MAC last year and the Motor City Bowl as well… Sagarin ratings: Purdue 74.51.. Chips 67.96…  Vegas has Purdue favored by 9 or so… we don’t think that is a true indication of the game to come…

Chip’s QB LeFevour is a stud.. 1008 yards rushing… 3360 yrds passing this season..  41 touchdowns: 17 rushing, and 23 passing…. He has 522atts – 344comps – 14ints….. CMU has scored 439 to their opponents 466 … Purdue has scored 395 to their opponents 297….

Painter is 540atts -334comps-11ints….. Painter has scored 3 rushing and passed for 26 TDs… and has passed for 3300 yds…

Purdue and the Chips played already once this year…Purdue won 45 – 20 on Sept. 15… this game was a Purdue home win in West Lafayette.. in that game Purdue’s Curtis Painter was 29 – 36 in passing, and LeFevour was 35 – 56… CMU out scored Purdue in the second half of the game… they made some adjustments.. just too late…

From the Purdue Home game against the Spartans… they seem to let down in the second half… The Spartans attacked through the air.. Lymon and Kory Sheets were the only weapons  we could recall… Yesss.... they were some ballsy calls on the Spartans part (successful Fake punt and Fake field goal), and sacks and interceptions.. but the Boilmakers let down.. and they seemed to also let down in the first meeting against the Chips when they were ahead… Not sure they have the Metal….

In this rematch.. Even though Purdue is a little Larger up front.. and The Chips will beat the Boilermakers in a tight one..

JoPa vs. Texas A&M

Does A&M still make that 60 foot bon Fire… ???  Whats with that….They’re Pyros…. Kids.. Matches..and Beer.. Not a good combination… Hell.. its Texas.. they probably got Guns too…  Scarrrrryyy….!

Texas A&M is without their Coach.. Dennis Franchione got the boot after he was aledagly charging boosters for an insider News letter / blog…. Don’t know if his leaving will effect the team at all… But they hired Mike Sherman… He was an NFL Asst Coach with the Texans.. and 6 seasons a Head Coach of the Packers… Nice pick up.... don’t think it’ll help with this game….

Sagarin ratings: Texas A&M 77.05 – PSU 79.60… Vegas has JoPa favored by 5… It’s a bus ride for A&M… and a long Flight for PSU….

This game had the Brew Crew flustered, we were split 50/50 on the prediction… So, we Rock, Paper, Scissor’ed for the winner… JoPa won… Mike threw the winning Scissor to Gavin’s Paper for Texas A&M….

PSU has the Best defensive player in the nation. Dan Conner is a First team all American and Bednarik Award winner. He has been all American 2 years in a Row…. Line Backer U is Alive and Well…. Look out A&M QB Stephan McGee…  Sean Lee, Conner are coming… Listen for the footsteps…. Justin King at Corner will keep the passes away from Bennett, Franks and Goodson.. Maurice Evans will be putting pressure on McGee…. McGee rushed for 986 yrds… and passed for 2147….  Line backer U is just the group of guys to keep McGee at Home… not taking any steps forward….  He has been sacked 18 times….

Even though the Spartans beat them in a great Home Victory in East Lansing.… The Aggies won’t be able to do it in San-Ann-Tone…. Morrelli is a good QB, and Kinlaw can break a game open. Morelli has rushed for 118 and passed for 2508…. He has only been sacked 18 times…

Line Backer U has sacked the Opponents QB 45 times.. to the Aggies’ sacking opponents 15 times… Yeah Baby.. that’s the Stat We like….
