Heres our Logic… After a few Shots O’Crown… and a Bud or 2...
1) RPI Difference.
2) Margins of Victory gave our group concern.. Sure Bucky lost to decent teams, but the Margin of Victory (Or in Buckey’s Case Loss) was too great than expected.
3) We all Expected more out of Kosta and Jamar.. Thought they would step up bigger… they kind of looked Herky-Jerky especially in the loss to Coppin State …
4) Frankly.. Pre-Season we had them at 3 behind Spartans and Hoose-yur-Daddy.. If they close the gap on losses to the quality teams.. and kick ass against Florida, and then Illinois on Jan 3.. They will climb back to where expected…
well at least you gave me the reasons why you put them there....and thats good enough for me.
I agree they need to prove their worthiness after a shaky start to the season....and I guess if they disappoint this year then the freshmen will stay in school and join a loaded incoming class next year.
I agree - Florida and Illinois are two huge games for NCAA tourney hopes.
It's amazing that games in December and January can mean so much come March....but right now the Buckeye resume is questionable...
Key Wins: Syracuse
Key Losses: A&M, UNC, Butler
Time to start evening that list up...

Frankly, OSU's losses were clear drubbings. With the exception of the Duke game, the Illini were at least close in their games. I'd say that this reflects the youth of the OSU team. OSU has only 4 upperclassmen, Illinios has 9 juniors and seniors. Illinois has Jeff Jordan, too. Can the youthful OSU stay focused enough to remain competitive even when they are down by ten points? Maybe next year. If you need more of a reason than that, the fact that we hate OSU nearly as much as we hate scUM should be reason enough to put then in 8th place.

I have Purdue at #5 almost by default. The rest of the Big Ten except maybe Illinois is extremely underwhleming this year. And yes, they could be undefeated right now. That was a collapse at both Missouri and Clemson. At least they are good teams.
On your hand Michigan State seems to have shaken off the D-2 loss quite well and only they and Indiana look great at the moment.
Wait a second....Illinois is 5-3 and ranked 5th...and Ohio State is 5-3 and ranked 8th?
Your comment for Illinois defends them saying "they lost to three very good teams"....
Ohio State's three losses came against Texas A&M, North Carolina and Butler on the road....
all three losses = three ranked teams.
Doesn't the comment next to Illinois also fit Ohio State?
Yet there is a difference in your rankings by 3 (5th and 8th)??
Doesn't quite add up to me...
Good Question LakeErieHope…

But, at this point, this is where we see them..
Lets give a little pressure to the Buckeyes…
