Spartan BasketBall vs. Oakland
MSU Spartans play host to the Oakland University Golden Grizzles. These are my 2 favorite Teams in College Hoops… Love my Spartans and really enjoy Oakland.
Greg Kampe is a great Coach… along the lines of Izzo, but in a smaller program. He has brought Oakland a huge distance from its humble beginnings to advancing them to Divisions 1A. He gets good recruits, and the team is fun to watch. Living only 20 minutes form The O’Rena where the Golden Grizzlies play, for $8 bucks it’s a good brand of basketball to go watch, great entertainment for the Dollar.
They like to play quality teams in the preseason, and it is advancing the program.
Too bad one of the best players Erik Kangas is injured. This kid is fun to watch, and shoots the lights out… Without him, the Grizzlies won’t stand a chance against our #10 ranked Spartans. I really thought the Grizzlies would go far and probably make the Dance this year, but without Kangas, it’s a big question mark.
