What a game last year.. the biggest come back in NCAA history.. Spartys after being down 38- 3 with 10 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter...Win 41- 38...
Now for 2007.....As everyone has said... The games get tougher week by week.. this game marks the half way point of the Season... After this one.. time to take stock of where we are... where we're headed.. and how we've made out on our predictions....

Have a Huge SpartyMSU tailgate before the game.... Should be another Sunny Day... A great Day for FootBall !! Great Food, Friends.. Beer, Ouzo and "Shots O'Crown... A Go'in Down ...!!" We'll be Standing all day for the game. . Cheering our Spartans on to another Victory.... It's Goin to be a Spartan Good Time....
My Keys to the Game....
Northwestern dropped its third game in a row ..this time against scUM... .. Not sure what to think about that, since Michigan has been spotty (At Best) so far this season... Wild Kittens lost 16 - 28 in Evanston to scUM, and 58 - 7 to OSU in the Horseshoe., and at Home to Visiting Duke.... Hell... I didn't know Duke even had a Football team....
Their back, Omar Conteh (Not PreSeason #1), was impressive against scUM. Some nice cuts, a 49 yrd. Run for a TD. Total 115 yrds on only 15 carries and Caught 4 passes for 24 yrds.
I think the Spartan "D" line and our backs are better than the team in Ann Arbor, should be able to contain Conteh much more effectively, The holes will close.. and he'll be caught in the back field courtesy of Mish / Jonal / Baldwin.... Not many Positive yards coming there....
Their Air Attack is less than 50% so far this season, and 22 for 42 last week... I Doubt that it will be effective Oct. 6.....Again... they havn't faced a Backfield corp. like Otis, Warrick, Kendell, Williams.. (Rucker is second on depth due to his ejection last week).
The Northwester QB: Bacher - Wasn't very good, 3 interceptions and 2 fumbles. Certainly he's going to get squirrelly in this weeks game after he's on his back side 4 -5 times and has the Spartan "D" pressuring him all day... Go Get him Jonal ! Sack Master...!!!
Hoyer shouldn’t have too much of an issue with pressure. The weaker NW "D" line should have seams opened easily for J&J / Jehuu and Javon. Thomas should be able to pull almost anything down… I see 100 yard games for Thunder and Lighting as well as for Thomas, and possibly Curry… It’ll be a Scoring Fiesta….
