Today the Crew over Brew is: Alfie (Mike), Opie, Gav, Dennis and Prof. John. On the discussion board is: Purdue and JoePa.

It’s a Hot Steamy Summer day.. and we’ve taken the discussion Crew to the USS Sparty Barge on Lake Susin… I just put a 5L. Can of Heineken in the cooler on top of a 2 Sixes of Oberon…Just put on the Tap on the Heineken… You know thats just enough to lube up the discussions….reminded everyone not to shut the lid… As we all jump in lake…. while we were a Splish’in and a Spalsh’in..  Dennis decides to shut the Lid of the cooler…. WTF???? …Oh-My-God..!!..He shut the Lid …. WTF !!!… The Lid pushed the pour lever …As we got out of the lake.. looking for a initial cold beverage… we had 5L of Cold Heineken in the bottom of the Cooler and the Deck of USS Sparty Barge….. Quick.. Someone gimme a straw…!!!!!   Dennis…. Get your ass out to the party store and get us more beer….. !..



That calls for a penalty shot… Get the bottle of Ouzo for Dennis when he gets back with more beer..  I though all Spartans had more Beer sense…. Jeeeezzzzeee…. I dunno, Prof. John was with him…Maybe he was giving Dennis  some sort of West Coast Academia logic as they shut the lid…. they should both do Penalty shots… Hell… We’ll all do a couple penalty shots… might as well get out the Padron out if we run low of Ouzo…

Its been a long season up to now… We all predict a successful season as we head in to the final 2 games..( Not counting possible Bowl play)…Successful in that we have come a long way from last seasons Heartless Bowel Shattering pitiful coaching displays….We are now 7 – 3… going into Ross-Ade Stadium. One nice thing about Ross-Ade, you can come and go.. Leaving for a brief while to partake in more tailgate. then go back…..

So, Joe Tiller escaped playing the Bucknuts and Michigan last year… His over all record would have been 3 – 5 in the Big Ten / 6 – 8 overall…. If not a little worse due to injuries from playing tougher teams….…So, even though their record was  5 – 3.. We don’t see it that way at all.. Even through the Sun Scorched, Heineken-less haze…..Not at all…

Spartans will match up against them pretty well.. They have an overrated Kicker.. Summers will continue to faultier in the Bigs.. This aint High School chumm…  Chris Painter is a good QB.. No Drew Stanton though… He has a decent target in Bryant.. But… Otis Warrick and crew should be keep him down…Good challenge for the “D” line to get to him, rush him to keep his throws in the dirt…

The Purdue “O” Line is weak on the Left side, with no strong retuning starter.. Might as well paint a target on Painter for Baldwin….

The Boilermaker “D” should have improved form last year, but not enough for the Javon and Jehuu show…

 This will be an entertaining game…. But.. But But…If we have injuries piling up…We might not have the depth to win either of the last 2 games… If…If …If… We are reasonably healthy.. .. We will win this first game, after the scuM victory in E.L……

The night before the game we’re at Bistro 501 to visit Dan, or the Knickerbockers planned to be the SpartyMSU Crew away Game….

Cautiously… we agree that this is a Win…. Are we just Proud Spartans letting our annual summer exuberance fog our judgment..?... Naw… Kick Ass Spartans !  8 – 3 After Nov. 10……

 

Last Game… Last Home game of the year…. God.. I hope it snows….Haven’t sat in Snow for a while….

Its been a long.. Successful Season for the Dr. and his Spartans…. We are looking forward to a Bowl Game at this point… For the turn around in the team.. Dantonio for Coach of the Year ! As for JoePa.. How long has been coaching ..?.. How old is this guy… I think he coached against Duffy in ’68…or so….

Say it again… If..If..If. we healthy.. The Nitty Lions are a better club than Purdue to be sure. Their depth is deeper than the Spartans and the are strong at most positions.  Especially on “D”, with some  LBs Dan Connor, SeanLee, Hayes and Sales. The “D” line is strong as well… John Masters, Gyetvai, Clifford, Miller and Shane… Keep Hoyer / Dixion Healthy for December play…!!!

“O’ is strong as well, Morelli has a decent arm and targets to go after.. Can let him have the time in the pocket, he has to be contained and sacked… Easier said then done We think.

This is not an easy game for the Spartans… It’s the senior’s last Home Game… But not a Victory… After Nov. 17.. we hope in the Snow… We end the regular Season 8 – 4…

But now its back to the Lake.. Sans the Heinakin (Thanks Dennis....), and look forward to UAB Kick off in 23 days or so....
