Opietini The Great…. The Regular Guy’s Sage and Seer…. sees the Spartan Future… Gives a follow up to the last month’s prediction from gazing into the Red Cedar ….Oh…. Opietini…  What more does the year hold for the Spartan Green on the Grid Iron…???

 Ah hah! What’s this? Something else is floating by ….After the win over Pitt, the Spartans are in South Bend. ….September 22…..Touchdown Jesus does not help the Spartans…. The Golden Domers get smacked hard in the mouth by a stingy Spartan Defense… Green paint smeared all over their Golden Domes…. But, The Spartans aren’t victors... High points, Hoyer, Ringer, Caulcrick, Thornhill, and SirDarean…. L: 21 – 27  The horror. The horror.

 Look at this! It’s a big brown lump floating by…. Nope it’s just a Wolverine…. I do see Todd Boleski Driving pinpoint accurate kickoffs…. Swenson kicking FG after FG stacking up the 3 pointers along with Ringer and Caulcrick’s crushing runs for a game total of 100 yards each…The Dr. is Jubilant in the end… No one leaves the stadium… Standing ovation for the Boys in Green… MSU 37  - scUM 31…

 Ahhh…. Something new… Ross-Ade Stadium Nov. 11… And it’s a Road Trip for the SpartyMSU Crew….Hanging out at “501 Bistro” with Dan pouring us generous drinks in Lafayette…. Not the usual fold after the scUM game, “D” is still strong… Spartans are controlled and focused…. Boiler Maker Curtis Painter can’t seem to hit his targets…Painter get sacked 4 times….. Spartans pull out a Win on the Road. A first for the year and an unusual win after a scUM game. The first in years….no let down today.…  Green Wins: 42 - 21
 
It’s a good year for the Spartans…. The River has now gone cloudy… Exhausted, The Great Opietini must now retire to “the Barrel” for a spot of Tequila and an Oberon…..  Final Prognostications to come…..
