Izzo is King

Last week, My buds and I were talking over the crap rumors about Izzo going to Lexington. And it was a consensus; there is no way he will leave, not for KU, not for Duke opening, not for Pro stint in Atlanta, not for anything. You have to realize, we are not the Pundants, and we are the link between the Pundants and the common Spartan. The Spartan Nation is not all highly knowledgeable enthusiasts, some of us only know enough to be dangerous……  Or at least perennially hate Wolverines.

All that talk last week about Izzo going to Lexington from ESPN and local Sports talk radio, only proved to me that they again know less than “Zeek the Wonder Dog” knows about Kitty litter, and what MSU is all about.  Over a couple Bell’s, Fellow Spartans and I discussed the crap talk this week.  So over brews, we had a unanimous Agreement on our faith in Izzo, besides that we like Oberon.

The dopes,  ESPN / talk radio staffs didn’t know what they were talking about when they said he would listen to an offer.. Fools… go dunk your heads in Lake Superior…Yah eh….

Would Bo have gone to coach at Oklahoma? Would “Bear Bryant” have jumped ship to Tennessee? Would Duffy have defected to Ann Arbor ? Would Coach K ever go anywhere but Duke ? Would Lute leave Arizona ??  Hellll … NO…!  Not to the Pros, not to another school.

12 ( or so…) Reasons why he will never go anywhere, but MSU... Sparty Land !
1) He’s King .  Since Jud retired, he has brought / maintained MSU as a BBall Power. He has arguably made MSU one of the premiere programs in the country.
2) Look at the recruits coming in….. Sweet 16 minimum….Can you say “Roe”….
3) Herzog is bigger, and should be able to bang underneath
4) He’s King…. BMOC… He is needed to help the Dr.(Mark Dantonio) meld into the MSU landscape.
5) He is Loved by the Spartan Nation.
6) He is paid handsomely for his skills efforts. Longevity Bonus coming.. Cha.. Ching…
7) He’s King…. scUM is second rate due to his perseverance, skills, and passion.
8) Any other job will NEVER give the same long term rewards he would have here in East Lansing.
9) Aint never going to find a Peanut Barrel in Kentucky…..
10) He’s a Yankee, a Yuper, one of us.… he wouldn’t fit in the south… He’s a beer man, not a Whiskey guy….
11) He’s King…. MSU Trustees, Simon, and Ron will make sure he is compensated as one of the premier coaches in the nation.
12) He will be immortalized if he ends his Career at MSU.. Like Munn, Like Duffy….
13) Most importanty ...He has made a difference at MSU, in young men’s lives, and he has left a positive mark.
14) He’s King…. I think the new Medical Campus in Grand Rapids should be named after him.. The “Izzo School of Medicine”….
15) He is a great influence, mentor, speaker, and what I look to as a Spartan Example.

Now we just have to get the Dr. to feel the Love, and put MSU on the Map starting this fall, and especially Nov. 3. Go Green…!!!!

Tom is king… Tom will stay where he and his family are loved…..
